I-Tech Indonesia to launch “1+3” applied degree CLaaS® for digital career induction before graduation

Lithan Academy, an accredited digital skills accelerator from Singapore, has signed an alliance agreement with I-Tech Indonesia to jointly offer an applied degree CLaaS® where learners could secure up to 3 years of full-time working experience before graduation.

The unprecedented pace of digital transformation has resulted in critical skills gaps that businesses are struggling to fill. Such skills mismatches and skills churn have increased the need for rapid and continuous digital upskilling throughout a person’s career.

Lithan’s innovation to support these emerging learning needs is the CLaaS® - Competency Learning as a Service. It adopts competency-based curriculums with work-based applied learning pedagogy to deliver knowledge acquisition in the classroom and on-the-job skills mastery at the workplace using real-world projects. CLaaS® is delivered in blended learning mode with experts mentoring from industry practitioners.

Lithan’s Applied Degree CLaaS® delivers work-ready skills with an intensive 12-month bootcamp where learners gain over 2000 hours of guided training and mentoring by industry experts. After the bootcamp, learners will start full time work as an offshore paid apprentice with international employers.

Lithan’s Founder and CEO, Leslie Loh said, “With 3 years of full-time working experience under their belt on graduation, we expect our learners to double their salary compare to graduates from conventional universities. We also provide minimum income assurance for learners committed to working full time after the intensive bootcamp. We welcome I-Tech Indonesia to join our fast-expanding Pan-Asia CLaaS® Alliance Network to offer this applied degree in Indonesia for developing global-ready digital talents able to scale in the post-Covid digital economy.”

Ms. Tussi Gautama, Chairwoman of Yayasan Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi (YPTI), the organisation behind I-Tech said, “We see that the CLaaS initiative allows our school to revolutionise the undergraduate education system in Indonesia. This is in line with the vision of our school which is to become the best Information Technology college in Indonesia based on intellectuality, creativity, entrepreneurship, and excellence. Representing YPTI, we welcome this collaboration and look forward to collaborating with Lithan to create a positive impact for our students and education in Indonesia.”
